Back from the Quiet Place

Well, I promised that I'd report back on my "retreat" adventure, but I have to say that in spite of doing a lot of relaxing, meditating, and much more sleeping than I expected, I am exhausted! I thought I might get away without a lot of emotional stuff being churned up, but I think the exercise of the last hour (in which I am invited to write and mail a letter to myself reflecting on the previous 35 hours) did me in.

Still, I highly recommend the  experience, if you can swing it. There is still 4 days left of the program, in which I will continue daily meditation and some writing. But I'm definitely going to take it slow.

Funny that today's Daily Om is titled, "Life Transitions: Death and Rebirth of Self". Yeah, they're not kidding!
